It was in the autumn of 2009 in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, when a student from Vietnam first presented artistic 3D pop-up cards in Germany.
People's enthusiasm for this special paper art inspired her to found her own workshop with her brother in Vietnam. To this day, all LINPopUp® cards are created there – with much love, care, and craftsmanship.
What started as a small dream is now a brand that unites German design and Vietnamese craftsmanship in perfect harmony.

From Idea to Finished Card
What started as a small workshop in Vietnam became a brand that touches people all over the world with its delicate 3D pop-up cards. Each card is meticulously crafted by hand by our talented artisans – with patience, precision, and dedication.
Each design tells its own little story – from flowers that bloom when opened to animals that happily dance out of the paper. Our motifs combine Asian craftsmanship with European design sensibility – elegant, playful, and always with a touch of magic.
The Design: Everything Starts with an Idea
Every card begins as a concept. We ask ourselves: What feeling should the card evoke when opened? What story does it tell? Whether it's a romantic wedding scene, a festive birthday surprise, or delicate floral splendor – the design establishes the emotional core.
The idea first becomes a sketch, then a digital cutting pattern. We have to calculate precisely how the individual elements unfold when the card is opened – a three-dimensional puzzle made of paper.
Material Selection: Quality You Can Feel
We exclusively use high-quality paper and cardboard that is sturdy enough to hold its structure and yet flexible enough to be folded cleanly. The grammage, the surface, the color absorption – all of these influence the final result.
Cut & Fold: Where Precision Counts
The individual elements are cut with millimeter precision. Even the smallest deviations can prevent the card from opening smoothly or the 3D structure from unfolding correctly. Every fold is placed with care – because it determines how the motif unfolds when opened.
Assembly: Handcraft with a Delicate Touch
The individual layers are assembled by hand. Layer by layer, the three-dimensional scene emerges, coming to life when the card is opened. This step requires patience, experience, and a keen eye for detail.
Quality Control: Every Card Is Inspected
Before a card leaves our premises, it is opened, examined, and thoroughly checked. Is every layer in place? Does the card open smoothly? Are the colors and cut correct? Only when everything is perfect does the card make its way to you.
